Asked if he had any plans to visit the Disney World complex with his grandchildren or ride any roller coasters, Paterno quipped “I’ll probably be at church praying. May not make it another year.”
Well at least he has a positive outlook at 82

bowden retired so joepa feels he can die

My grandfather just passed at 86 it's been down hill since he's been about 82 so he's probably right. I'd imagine it's starting to get tough on him to work as much as is needed to be a head coach of a major program like Penn state.

Coaching football is probabily what is keeping him alive.

Joe Pa's last game will be against LSU in the Citrus IMO!

At first I thought it was Bobby Petrino from Arkansas and I said WTF? Then I saw Paterno and I laughed. God damn I need to get lasik eye surgery.

if it wasn't for football, JoePa would probably have died years ago

I bet when Joe Pa retires, Bowden picks up a coaching gig at a smaller school just to get the record...

Joe Pa is a class act, and a realist. He is sharp enough that I am sure that there are plenty who would just as soon he keep the job until he drops. He is the last of a legendary group of coaches, and once he's gone, there won't be any more.

What would be a shocker is if after JoePa retired and another coach took over next year and then
Bowden comes back and says that he has changed his mind and starts coaching(maybe only in name) again at FSU (and jimbo gets an extra 5 mil for this) - but this time with all the 5 stars who committed after he left

Makes two of us. These fricking bifocals are getting old. There are certain things I like about being in my mid fifties, but at the rate I am going I am going to need a goddamned cane and dog to get about. May even have to teach the little bastard how to drive.
