So Ed Orgeron wins the job on the promise of Lane Kiffin and he ends up at Houston. Ed O is gunna be on the hot seat right away. Hopefully

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only thing O actually verbalized was getting the best OC they could. Kiffin was just theorized.

He promised to bring in the best OC. Kiffin is no longer an OC if he takes the job so the promise is not broken.

Can you not see how tenuous his whole Binder Plan was/is? Can we organize a March on Alleva's office?

But behind closed doors you have to think he told Alleva he was getting Kiffin

False assumption. He stated he was considering several OC candidates with Kiffin probably being his first choice. He can't win in you people's eyes no matter what he does. He conducts a thorough search- he's waiting too long. He makes a quick hire- he didn't do a thorough search.

You HAVE to think that if you've been doing nothing but whining about the hire since that Saturday.

If you can think it out for a second, if we hire Jimbo/Herman/Gundy/etc, right now we are not giving any thought to who they choose as OC. But, with the Ogre, his tenure as HC pretty much hinges on this hire. And his first choice is gone.

He is also, btw, making very questionable moves in recruiting. It is a lot harder to recruit as HC compared to DL coach.

You imagine the facts to make your case. Give one article, quoting O or Alleva stating that O was hired on the promise of Kiffin. Just one.

I get it. You don't like O as the coach. But stop making up stuff.

Some fans here talk about what big and bad negotiators they would be, if they were Alleva. These same posters panic most easily. Everyone relax. The offense will be much improved from Miles' final years. Look what happened when Ensminger was moved to OC-- offensive records. And yes, I know the story-- "it was against defenses without a pulse." That's said as if LSU always played every game against great defenses.
