One way you know Woodward is doing a good job...

...is that no one really has any clue about which coaches LSU will be hiring. In the past, word would leak out and everyone would be talking about it before the papers were signed. I'd rather the tight ship approach where no one has a clue as to who's being looked at and who's being negotiated with.

Richard and Pelini have been pretty heavily discussed, and rumored to be strong candidates. If LSU comes out with an amazing hire, that nobody is talking about, then you have a point. If the hire is Richard or Pelini, then it will have been strongly suggested before.

Coach O hires the DC not Woodward. Woodward probably has some input and works out the contract.

Exactly. Before, it seemed that we had all the details before it was signed. There just don't seem to be the leaks we've seen in the past.
I'd bet a dollar that Woodward and Orgeron are working together on this.

I'm starting to agree.
Maybe not smokescreens, but it feels like if something were happening with either of these guys we would have heard about it by now.
It feels like were working on getting someone else.

Why does this place go out of their way to compliment anything Woodward does and goes out of their way to shite on everything Alleva does? Woodward hires Jimbo for 7.5 million a year. Let’s not act like he’s the second coming. Alleva hired O and WW. When Woodward does something in that ball park we can praise him. Until then let him do his job.
