Any hematologist can easily handle sickle cell management. That's not an esoteric or complicated disease requiring some super specialized training or care.

Franklin's description to the media when he talked about why he wanted Penn St was "my daughter has a full-blown case of sickle cell disease", and that her Dr had moved to Penn St Health in Happy Valley. and he wanted to keep her under his care

Sickle cell isn’t hard to treat. It’s more compliance on the patient side

Sickle cell is a disease black people get, I know Franklin has some aa in him. Is His wife black?

I’ve never heard of a person having sickle cell that wasn’t 100 percent aa until now.
They get the strongest and highest doses of pain meds that are known to be given.
