The "narrative " is that Ole Miss is a stepping stone program, even in its best season. That is proven with the fact that your coach is fielding offers for other jobs or even just to get himself a big raise. That doesnt happen at big brother schools the week before the rivalry game/playoffs. Your claim is that you arent a little bro school anymore but the facts show otherwise.

I can get behind this statement as a figure of speech about the fan base as a whole or in general about the Ole Miss male.
But applicable to ladies in Oxford???....miss me with that.

Miles and Saban both did it yearly at LSU.

Not even close.
Everybody knew Saban was eventually going to the NFL. He was just waiting on a decent team to come open. He never was a threat to go to any other college job. Miles actually did the opposite of what Kiffin is doing, and cancelled his dream job michigan plans when LSU got into the championship game. And Arkansas was never interested in Miles. That was a Sexton con job on Joe Alleva and everyone knew it.

There’s that LSU inferiority complex we all know and love.
Look yall can put in your cute little seer sucker and bow ties and LARP as descendents of southern nobility but the painful fact is there’s no money in Mississippi, your boosters are car dealers and dentists, and at the end of your day the big boys drink your milkshake. Ole miss is forever a second tier program.

Yes close.

Everyone knows Kiffin will eventually leave Ole Miss. He is just waiting for the right job to open.

Yes, in December after over a month of rumors and speculation.

So Miles agent played games for a raise without Miles knowledge?
I don’t care if Arkansas was interested or not.

They will wind up paying tons of $$$ and Kiffin will be doing this same stuff next year to them
These are 2 of the best jobs in the sport and they won't be open for 3+ years AT LEAST. This is his chance. I think if he says no, it's a longer term no. Not a 2 year no.
Unless Alabama opens up.

Nope. Don’t change the narrative. Provide proof of Lane visiting houses in either town. That was your argument. Support it with facts.
Just tell me how to get to Atlanta?

We are discussing whether OM is a stepping stone college job and you bring up Saban working his way to the NFL. Not the same.
Miles WAS going to michigan. He cancelled that plan when he made the NCG. Kiffin IS going to the playoffs. He is still shopping around for another job.
There was never any interest in Miles by Arkansas or in Arkansas by Miles. There is at least some mutual interest in Kiffin/Florida/LSU.
The situations are very different in the context tof stepping stone jobs.
This was exactly my point>
