I think he did as well at Arky as anyone could have hoped. You just can't land enough big recruits at Arky.

This is what we needed. He's a proven head coach. Not the best head coach but so much better than O.

is there any doubt that Ogre was fired on Sunday because Nutt told Ole Miss yes on Saturday night? How awesome was it for Nutt that he beat the #1 team in the country, got a $3.5mm settlement from Arky and got the Ole Miss job all in the same weekend.

This hire makes sense... certainly better than Neuheisel and Leach and I don't think Muschamp is ready yet

At first I thought the hiring of Nutt was a good choice for Ole Miss, but I've changed my mind. I really think they messed up not hiring Neuheisal. I think that guy would turn things around in Oxford. I don't know that things will change that much under Nutt. They were too hasty in my opinion. If they want to be as successful as Nutt was at Arkansas then that's the best they'll do, frankly. I don't see him bringing them to the promised land for sure.

I think this is a very good hire for Ole Miss. Certainly Nutt is a vast imporvement over Coach O. Nutt has some key wins over the Tigers, so this is not great news for LSU.

Maybe that explains both the flatness of Ark in the first three or so first half possessions, then how they caught fire and burned through LSU's defenses in the 2nd half. It does not explain LSU's offensive flatness in the first half, however, which led the the crucial need to stop Ark in that OT situation.

Hope they enjoy him.

I'd like to know where he's going to recruit his tailbacks.

You take that away from his one-dimension offense and the Rebs will be at the bottom of the offensive rankings for awhile.

Since sudddenly sources have become a big deal as if media really has credible sources and half of news now is not entertainment speculation.

My partner was on phone Monday morning with ad at Ole Miss, (not uncommon for him he is a major donor) coming back from Lott press confrence. They were talking to Neuheisel (sp) and told him that is who they were looking to at that time. Apparently, terms couldn't be worked out or they changed their minds, Archie changed their minds, etc.

Many more changes coming to Ole Miss this year stay turned.

O was fired for Loss to State and being a crappy coach.

Congrats Ole Miss, you may get out of the SEC West cellar and firmly into 4th place each year just ahead of State and Arkansas/Alabama.

I totally agree, especially if Arkansas somehow upgrades. The West will just be that much more stacked, and the entire SEC will just be sick.
