re: Petrino is overrated.......

I love reading all this crap dribble from Loosiana fans....LOL

They speak of other teams and coaches as if they've been sitting atop the college powerhouse polls forever.

Bask in the pleasure of being good while it lasts coonasses.

But remember where you came from. It should be easy....what..just a few seasons ago a top 3 in the West for Loosiana was a dream.

Thats why Nutt had us in the top 3 seven of ten seasons??

If Nutt could recruit top 3 in the West teams, Petrino will be just fine.

Top 3 like you have a lock spot. You act as if LSU has some long standing top 3 in the West status......

Check the record. LSU mediocrity is only a couple pages back.

O is just sore still from what Florida did to 'em last year and what LSU is getting ready to do to 'em this year.

I for one will get entirely too much satsifaction out of watching Ohio State get steamrolled two years in a row by the SEC!!

Best conference. Best coaches. Best players. Best fans. Best facilities.

And one big stingin belt to whip that arse with.

ESPN guys are just slamming the chap.

But if its like they say it is, I would too.
Facilities on par?

LOL

I've been to Baton Rouge.

And Fayetteville. If your place is par, we just eagled the hole.
Broyles will be meddling until he's 6 ft. under.

You have a chancellor who wants the spotlight, a new AD that couldn't hire coaches at the rest of his jobs, and a fan base that is damn ignorant and slams every possible hire....

short of Jimmy Johnson.
I guess it depends on the criteria you use.

Salary Opportunities: Good
Facilities: Superior
Recruiting: Average/Good
Fan Base: Strong but like the chopping block

I think what makes UA a problem for guys like Tubby is that the best we can do is match his salary...why make a lateral move from a program you've spent years developing and have job security?

The coach from Wake Forest knows he has a few years of safety and such a bad program that 7-8 wins is a top goal.

We should be going hard after Coordinators looking for that big time opportunity. And theirs lots of good ones out their right now.

My two cents.

Wikipedia already has him as coach of UA. LOL

He's a 50% winning coach. Just what we need.

Coming from an LSWho fan I'll take that as a compliment.
Its a sad day in Hog country when we hire Tommy Bowden.

He has no better record than Nutt in alot weaker conference.

What do we gaiN??

Indy Bowl bound for life.
Hey, put stock in my word.

I'm sleeping with Frank Broyles great great great great great granddaughter.

Tommy Tubberville will be announced as the new head coach of the Razorbacks tomorrow afternoon.

You heard it hear first!

re: Spurrier to LSU

I think Spurrier retires at South Carolina.

He's on the verge of turning that into a great program.

IMO, LSU became a thankless job after that National Championship. You coonasses will give Spurrier or anyone else about the first 3 games of next season to 'get their feet' wet or its time to hang 'em.

South Carolina will give him 10 years if he wants it.

Beats the hell out of 3 games.

re: Leach or Lane Kiffin to Arkansas

Posted by razor18 on 11/28/07 at 10:23 am to
You act like the Kiffin's actually going to have a choice to stay in the NFL for more than a year....

If I were him and didn't get fired I'd quit.

I'd love to have him at Arkansas. He was a dominant offensive coach at USC and would be great in Fayetteville.

Leach too. We'd finally recruit some QB's.

re: Nutt to Oxford

Nutt has never been a big fan of moving the ball vertically down the field. He belongs with Mack Browns program.

re: Nutt to Oxford

Malzahn was supposed to simply add a dimension to the offense. I don't think he planned on running his Springdale High offense at UA.

It turns out he didn't get to add anything at all. All you had to do was watch the sideline to see that he was a lame duck OC.

Did pretty well at Tulsa though.

re: Ole Miss Hires Nutt

Hope they enjoy him.

I'd like to know where he's going to recruit his tailbacks.

You take that away from his one-dimension offense and the Rebs will be at the bottom of the offensive rankings for awhile.

It doesn't really matter who your recievers are if you throw 6 feet behind them.....or maybe thats just from my seat in the nosebleeds.

What do you think about Dick, Pioneer?

re: Nutt to Oxford

Posted by razor18 on 11/27/07 at 10:13 am to
Kiss off. He's terrible. You blame his HORRIBLE arm on the OC's?

LOL.

Bad luck my arse. He can't throw and makes bad decisions in the pocket.

No OC is going to change that.

re: Nutt to Oxford

I agree. I was glad to see the players go.

But c'mon, its just a little shady to hire somebody and lie to him about how much say he would have over the offense, just to get his high school standouts.

I'm talking about character here. It showed poor character. It was the only way Nutt was going to get those kids and BOY it worked out well didn't it.

Again, I'm glad those guys are gone but it damaged Nutts appearance to the fan base. And of course haters always fail to recall that Mustain went 7-0 as the starting QB, before getting demoted for Casey shitDick.
