Ole Miss fans - how does the state’s 4 year rule affect your coaching contracts?

Serious question and not flaming.
I made the case in a different thread about how I didn’t see Kiffin leaving Ole Miss for Auburn when he already had a great situation and could make similar money. I was reminded of the 4 year rule for state employees. How does that affect coaching compensation in the age of near 9 figure contracts? Are there ways around it on the back end?
Just curious, because I’d forgotten about that law.

There are ways around it through booster clubs / the non-state-entity athletic department fundraising arm. Historically though, Ole Miss has not really gone that route and tested exactly how legal that may / may not be.
Overall, it's probably saved Ole Miss more money then it's hurt us. But with the way college coaching contracts are growing, it could certainly prove to be a bit more of an issue moving forward.

It's a risky game handing out 10 year contracts. I personally think it's dumb outside of maybe 2-3 coaches (i.e. 60 year old Saban or Kirby Smart). The market is seriously out of hand.
