I wanted a young up and comer. When is the last time a grey headed coach who maintained mediocrity went to a program and didn’t decline. This is a sad hire.

He’s not a retread moron. He’s the active, winningest coach in Notre Dame History on the cusp of the CFP. Holtz to South Carolina was a retread. Herm Edwards in Arizona was a retread. Mike Ditka with the Saints was a retread.
