OU fans can rejoice because according to them, they just got rid of their problem and worst OC in the country and have massively upgraded.
They are wrong, Lebby put up top 10 stats. Thats the thing, if you want a stat guy then Lebby is your guy. His shortcoming was game management and complimentary football. His tx gameplan was perfect but then went away after that. In the Kan game he never attempted one pass all 3rd qtr and well into fourth. Against osu all we needed was a 1st down late and he called 3 bizzarre plays and we punted and they scored a FG.
I think he will do good at MSU. Seth is going to put up less flashy stats but is goimg to compliment the defense more. Its all in what you are looking at to form your opinion. We have the #1 RB coming in. A 4-5* TE (who Lebby rarely used TE) coming in. And a 5* QB who learned all year from Dillon with another legacy top 10 QB arriving this year too. I could go on but Seth will have all the weapons he needs. We will have some bumps but the advantages Seth gives having been in the program are huge.
I thonk Lebby did a great job but had shortcomings. Its not all about stats, you need to play a game considering both sides, and he didn’t. This hurt defense as he put them back on field quickly too many times.

I didn’t know Cumbie had a co-OC. That’s a good example then.

This was done to prevent OU field coaches from coming to State with Lebby. Upgrade in title and presumably salary to keep them home.

So Lebby isn’t bringing anyone with him? That’s odd

Seth is OC and JJF is Co-OC
Oklahoma Football
@OU_Football
OU is thrilled to announce the following changes to our coaching staff:
Seth Littrell, Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach
Joe Jon Finley, Co-Offensive Coordinator/Tight Ends Coach
Littrell will serve as play caller, along with duties as QB coach.
Joe Jon will continue to coach tight ends.

Littrell is legit. He was the guy State should have hired as OC after Leach passed.
Miss State should have hired a guy that had just been fired by North Texas? You serious Clark?

If you have two OCs, you have no OCs.

He was getting better each game. The crazy people who wanted Lebby gone are probably 10% of our fanbase. They're just really vocal. However, when Lebby came on, everyone knew it would be 2-3 years max anyway.

Probably these 4, all support staff
Phil Loadholt, Offensive Analyst
Matt Holecek, Senior Offensive Analyst
Benton Duby, don’t know much about him
Tanner Schafer, Graduate Assistant
“No full-time assistants are expected to follow Lebby to Starkville. Instead, there is an expectation that staffers Phil Loadholt, Benton Duby, Tanner Schafer and Matt Holecek will join Lebby at Mississippi State.”

One is primary and the other gets a pay bump to keep them. There are many examples:
Georgia Football has Co-Defensive coordinators
UMich Football has Co-Defensive coordinators
Oregon Football has Co-coordinators on both sides of the ball
