Official hire the pirate thread

Now that it looks like Crowton may be gone it is time to bring in a proven OC genius like Mike Leach. The hat and the pirate together for a few years. Ticket sale and the national exposure would be off the cuff LSU administation.

I would be elated if Leach was the OC, but there's still no guarentee that Crowton is fired. It's been fairly well know that Miles has been looking at several OCs for awhile now.

Leach over Kragthorpe fo shore

No. But considering the players LSU has on roster, and has committed, Leach wouldn't fit. You see, we use running backs here...

And why would you assume that, just because someone says they don't want Leach, they wanna keep Crowton? Is Leach the only guy you've ever heard of?

I'm sure if he had a viable rb at ttech, he wouldve incorporated him into the offense. Especially a stable such as ours. I trust him to make adjustments with talent more than anyone else on my short list of oc's.
What if miles goes and the new coach wants to keep gc. I would shite in a box and mail it to him.

What to do with Ridley (assuming he stays), Ford, Blue, Ware, Hilliard, Magee, etc...? I mean, name me one RB that played under Leach. RBs have NO place in his offense.

Now, if LSU has a different HC in a couple of days, all bets are off. But I don't see Les Miles and Mike Leach "meshing" well together. Plus...what would happen to a player like, say, Chris Tolliver...who is prone to concussion?

No, I know lots of good OC, but he is the only want I want out of three that are going to be interviewed. You want good QB play and to use our Rec, tell me someone better than Leach?
He never had rb's at TT. He had to built from what he could get after UT, OK, A&M, etc were though recruiting. Left him with a weakness of being able to hold leads top etc but that is what he could do. He was national coach of the year guys. The New England Patriots use a lot of his shite. He will adapt but will run an all out wide open attacking offense utilizing all our skill players to their maximum advantage with a up tempo set. Match that with our typical defense and we are NC contenders again.

Leach used running backs at Tech, he just didn't have the personnel to use them how we would use them. Ware and Ford would fit Leach perfectly.

I don't think it would be that easy.

They will have to catch too just like in the NFL.

Didn't Leach run a balanced attach style at OU?
Posted on 1/5/11 at 11:00 pm to MoreOrLes
Leach's idea of balance is spreading the ball around to his different playmakers, not percentage of run vs. pass...per him on a CBS College Sports broadcast this year.
RBs put up numbers in his system running draws and catching screen passes. No physical presence whatsoever.

You must not know SEC football if you think Leach would be a good hire!!
