O w/ Aranda vs Another coach w/o Aranda

If Aranda was a lock to stay with O here, but would move on if we hired another coach.
Would it have to be Herman or jimbo to ease losing Aranda?
Would anybody rather O with Aranda over any other coach?
I wasn't on the O bandwagon to start, but I am warming up to the idea if he has a solid November.
Make O head coach. Use money saved on HC to bump Arandas pay and hire a top notch OC. We already know O will let his coaches coach, so he may actually be what we wanted Les to be. Amazing recruiter, good motivator, let coaches coach.

Aranda is an up and coming coach. What makes you think he is going to stay more than a year or two when a HC opportunity comes up?

I'd want to keep O and Aranda at all costs but I don't see O staying if he doesn't get the job. I'd hope that whoever gets it would want to keep them both.

To me, you make nothing conditional on keeping coordinators if you're getting your top target, whether it's Fisher or Herman, as an example. You trust they can hire a good staff.

Why did Kirby Smart stay so long with Saban then?
I certainly think Aranda stays at least 2 more years. You can't move your family around that often

HC is the most important person in the football ops building. No way you sacrifice the HC position just to keep a DC.

Coordinators and assistants come and go. The head guy is the one there for the long haul. Getting him is more important than an assistant

Kirby was waiting for the UGA job to open or hope that he was Saban's successor. I think he was only planning (or hoping) to take one of those.
