I've tried to give O the benefit of the doubt when I can, but if it's E as OC, then I firmly believe O is officially a lame duck coach on his way out. I'm pretty sure this hire, if it is indeed E, will be O's undoing and the LSU admin will pull the trigger next year. Hell, at this point they may just be letting him step in his own shite so they can get rid of him.

You don't hire an internal yes man when you are allegedly looking for the best man for the job. You don't fire a Canada for an Ensminger. Period.

Next year is going to suck, but I think we've just taken a huge step towards HC Aranda if this hire goes through.

He is officially a lame duck because he is unofficially rumored to be hiring E?

Think about that for a minute? Are you thinking?

I'm thinking if you have an iq over 50 you will delete this post.

I agree. I look at it as sometimes you take short term losses to achieve long term gains.

I'm thinking you have a reading comprehension problem. In the OP, I say, "if it's E as OC." At that point it's not exactly a rumor, now is it?

Sela, how do think fans were supposed to react to Ed saying he would look at Ensminger as the next OC?

Because your opinion matters so much to the powers that control LSU?

Hmm, I missed where, in my post, I addressed it to F. King, Alleva, or the BOS. Can you help point that out to me? Otherwise, I think it was just one fan musing on a message board.

One fan's musings that seem to be shared by many. The powers that be at LSU might care about that.

No one is spinning a possible Ensminger promotion but the devout Orgeron disciples who are trying to explain how another unqualified coach in a position is going to win LSU championships.

Am I missing other big programs that were coming after Ensminger for OC?

Look for Alleva to be shown the door first. No way are they allowing Alleva to hire the next HC at LSU.

Yes. While not commenting directly on Alleva's job security, Hanagriff said after the Troy loss that ADs at LSU only get one bite at the apple when it comes to football HC hires.

You do realize that the same people who would be making the decision to fire O would also be the same people who presumably approved the Ensminger hire, right?

Why would they need to let him step in his own shite first? And in any event, Alleva is the one who created the "shite" by giving him a contract with an unnecessary and cost-prohibitive buyout.

Trying to fair and give O a chance, but you can’t sell me on Coach E being one of the best OCs in the nation. Ensminger is probably a fine position coach, but if that is Coach Os choice for OC, he may have sealed his coaching fate within the next year or two.
