He is in final two for Fresno job...

Fresno is where we hired him from...and from what I've read, he's the fans choice. With the fan support and his resume since being at Bama, he should be a slam dunk.

I just hope he stays through the NC game.

After Saban's 'glowing review' for the Memphis job, I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't...

or maybe he'll want to coach in what will probably be the last significant game of his career.

What did Saban say? I assume you know...

I'm sure it was as meaningful as the breathless reports that he was going to West Virginia back in 2008...

i have no idea... it was just being reported by someone in Memphis that Saban didn't do McElwain any favors when the AD talked to Saban.

in realitiy, the negotiations with sexton probably had more to do with Memphis backing out than CNS's phone conversation.

Imagine submitting a paper with that citation...what do you think would happen to a thesis based on this reference?

Word in Alabama is that Saban said he was ok - didn't say anything negative but definitely didn't give glowing remarks.

Tidesports is saying McElwain removed his name from the Fresno State coaching search because of financial concerns. He's now interested in the openings at Colorado State and Southern Miss.

If they told you then the pipeline would dry up.

Kelly Skipper is a popular guy with that fan base. I think they like McElwain too, but I see Skipper getting most of the support.
