You beat me to it. I was going to start a similar thread and ask for everyone to fess up. Actually, since some posters swore they had rock-solid information, it would be interesting to analyze and explain what happened.

Personally, I've always liked Miles. I never expected him to stay at LSU, though, so my 180 really came when he came out and said he was staying.
LSU won the game, is possibly going to the national championship and we're all feeling good about our coach.

There was some people on here that absolutely KNEW he was gone. What happened that their sources were so wrong. Was there a misinformation plan going on?

All I can say is I told you so. I posted that LSU would make a strong push to keep Miles and I was ridiculed and told that I was naive and an idiot and that the deal was already done months ago. I hope those assholes come back and kiss arse. They won't.

One issue that didn't add up even before the Saturday announcement was that Skip had publicly said there would be contract negotiations with Les on Monday. What was the point of that if it was actually a done deal.
This whole affair is funny as hell. There are a bunch of folks gonna be wiping egg off their faces for a long time.

My gut told me and it was right. I rewarded it this afternoon with a 24 ounce porterhouse medium rare and a baked potato that was as big as a watermelon.
