Is there even a slight chance we could get him out of l.a.?
Anyone know the details of his salary, buyout, etc.?

as I posted in your other thread:
and why would we hire this old guy?
UCLA is 89th in total offense this year and was 111th last year

Yeah not sure why they anchored that one.
As I said in my other thread, Not sure he has the players at ucla. I know I wanted him bad in 06 when Miles came in and decided to keep Jimbo, and again in 07 when we got Crowton (although I admit I thought Crowton was a great hire at the time too).
I just would love to see what he could do with JJ, TT, RR, Shep, Ridley, Ford, D Peterson, etc.
Could be scary.

What were Chow's stats with the Titans?
Posted on 11/25/09 at 9:29 am to lyger68
Not sure. Probably not great. But I never thought he'd be a good fit in the NFL. Especially not with the Titans.
VY played his best ball under him though, won R of Y, and I'm pretty sure they made the playoffs.

Isn't he a pretty much west coast guy and the only reason he went to the Titans was because it was an NFL gig?

He went to the Titans when he botched the HC job at Stanford, and yes he mosdef a westcoast guy.

Appanrently he's had some disputes with the UCLA administration. He simply has no talent to work with there at the moment. I wouldn't be surprised to see him retire within a couple of years

USC, didn't him and Pete have their issues?

Neuheisel will get him some. He has qb's to work with.
On a different note, does anyone really think that miles would just let him operate without sticking his nose in? I don't......chow wouldn't put up with it. Old guys don't like to be messed with. We need youth. Chow would never come to lsu so forget the idea.

Yeah Carroll forced him out because he didn't have full control

freshman QBs + no offensive line= train wreck
They're two years away from getting the talent level back to where it should be after Dorrell got canned

So that would be three stops with "issues" with management. Not something I really care for now.

Oh I know.....they like udub are both two years away. Neuheisel is an amazing recruiter and will get it there. I don't like him but he is proven. Glad to have him back in the pac ten. This conference is going to be to strong for its own damn good pretty soon. That one freshman qb though will be good if chow stays with him til his senior year.

you might care for 3 national titles, 3 heisman winners, and developing Jim McMahon, Steve Young, Ty Detmer, Philip Rivers, Carson Palmer, and Matt Leinart

Man is def proven building great QB's. Something LSU is lacking right now.

Would rather deal with that than a non competent mofo. Wouldn't you? We don't have his types of players anyway so it doesn't matter. It isn't a fluke his qb's have been white.

Richard Brehaut is a stud...hopefully they will surround him with good talent, because the sky is the limit with this guy.
