The LSU history of hiring has not been very good...just going back to Curley....Dinardo, Les, O....none of their Power 5 or G5 coaching records were good. Even Saban was average till he pulled a 9-2 season and then landed the LSU job...We all know LSU shite in a swinging bucket with that hire...Thinking Scott W is gonna make donors and the board go after some homerun 100 million dollar hire is as stupid as saying Saban is coming. Many AD's have changed in those hires but the consistency of low budget and meek hires have established themselves at LSU because the Board and boosters are deciding on the coach not the Pres or the AD...The AD sets the coaches up but the board and boosters will decide who is coming..Aleva only got Ed hired because everything else was too expensive for LSU...Forget the big money homerun hire because there won't be one...WE better hope we hit that swinging bucket again with one of these young guys...

It won’t be anyone this board likes or thinks. SWW doesn’t give 2 shits who is on talk radio campaigning. He has his job and reputation riding on the hire and isn’t listening to people outside of his boss and MAYBE close confidants.

This is exactly like Baseball and WBB hires.

Like I have said on here 3-4 times recently. This will be my 9th LSU HC to see hired. Still waiting on that Top 5 coach that I keep hearing is sitting next to the phone waiting on the call. It could happen. More likely we will have to do a lot of homework to get the right guy who can use our resources well.
