i think its an interesting theory. the reason he isnt addressing the crowton disaster b/c he knows hes not going to be the one to replace him

I don't think this is a likely scenario. One of the things that needs to be contemplated is do we lose the rest of the staff if Miles goes and is it worth it. There are DL, DC, DB, and RB coaches that I would not want to give up.

Then why would he waste his time travelling to go see Mett play? And has he ever made coaching changes before the bowl game?

Think before you post next time.

Most coaches wait until after their bowl for coordinator changes, unless you're going to a minor bowl or no bowl (like Texas).

Tate Forcier would do fine in a rotating QB role. Tate is mobile enough to run and shoot. Denard is a fast running QB with average throwing ability. I think Miles could do fine with both of these guys at Michigan.

Miles isn't going anywhere. He just might be more content at LSU than many give him credit for.

The real problem is Gary Crowton.. Crowton goes down in productivity every year.. then gets fired

2003 BYU - 196 Points scored in 12 games. Crowton's 3rd year. 4-8
2004 BYU - 267 Points scored in 11 games. Crowton's 4th year. 5-6
--------
2005 BYU - 396 Points scored in 12 games. 1st year w/o Crowton. 6-6
2006 BYU - 478 Points scored in 13 games. 2nd year w/o Crowton. 11-2

2005 Oregon - 414 Points scored in 12 games. Crowton's 1st year. 10-2
2006 Oregon - 383 Points scored in 13 games. Crowton's 2nd year. 7-6

I don't think this is as dumb of a thread as y'all are saying.

Miles has been acting a little odd lately, imo. I don't see Harbaugh taking the Michigan job, and I doubt he turns it down a second time. Maybe he won't be gone before the bowl game; but, Michigan is waiting until after Jan. 1 to fire RR anyway, a week in between RR's firing and our bowl game would give Michigan just enough time to put on a "coaching search" that would end in Miles after the bowl game... I don't know, just a thought, but I just don't see Miles staying too much longer with the pressure he is under and his inability to fire coaches causing him more grief.

If he leaves for Meecheegan, let's hope Leach is still available....

And we'd replace him with? By then, the good HC candidates will be gone.
