Listen, genius, when you say you have an "inside source", that would tend to indicate the source knows at least a little of the situation. Pretty much everyone in the free world (except for you, I guess) knows Saban would only sign with bama if there was NO BUYOUT. You totally discredit yourself when you claim to have priviledged information, and you really don't even understand the basics of the situation.
The last thing you should be doing now is telling someone else to STFU....take your own advice.

I think this is silly. I mean I would love to have Saban back, but lets be realistic. Even if he wanted to come back he couldn't do it. It would be a PR nightmare for him and LSU. Saban already has lost a lot of creditability with what he has done by leaving the Dolphins the way he did. Just imagine how worst it be for him if he left Bama for LSU. It would hurt LSU in recruting because nobody would ever belive a word he says.

So you are telling me that If Saban wanted to came to LSU all he'd have to do is say bye bye Alabama. LSU would not have to pay the 4 mill?

No but what I think the guy is saying that Shaw would give Saban the money he would have earned on the base cantract at Alabama.

It is just hard to believe that Alabama would pay a coach this much money and not protect the contract to keep him.

Saban DOES have a buyout.....you can make out the check to RotorheadTiger and just fedex it to me. The contract calls for $40 mil. Thanks.

Yes, he can leave anytime he wants with no penalty. That is the only way he would sign the contract. I don't understand why people can't comprehend this.
