on his best days he's still a mediocre, inaccurate qb. He is what he is.

What is your definition of "start"? Does this mean at the end of the year or against Oregon? If you mean Oregon then JJ is taking that first snap unless he is hurt.

JJ probably starts unless Mett makes a 5 star twenty-one gun salute impression during spring and summer camps. Throwing Mett into the SEC play too soon is unfair to him. I do look for Mett to get more playing time than Lee did.

I wish. The craziest thing we do these days is send Braves related text messages. fricking old.

I did just talk to him, though

Dale Murphy? ?

If so that's pretty freaking sweet. No sarcasm.

Can I get an autograph ? :)

what disappoints me most about jefferson is his wild inaccuracy on SHORT passes.. it's pathetic.

Putting JJ in *at qb* would be like putting a round peg in a square hole.

Jefferson will start, and finish, because he is the better quarterback -- stronger, faster, tougher and more experienced, than Mettenberger. This has nothing to do with naked pictures. People clamoring for Mett and anointing him 2011 starter haven't seen him play.

Jefferson will play and do much better b/c he will be coached up. Crowton didn't improve anything except confusion....mostly for Tigers. Jefferson will be more accurate and more consistant b/c Krag. can't be worse than Crowton.

What if Krag can work with him and get him to be a little more consistant? I don't believe Mett is some savior until he actually does it on our field. JJ deserves some credit for the 11 wins this year.
What if Lee becomes more consistant, should he start? Not advocating who should start but Lee and JJ both contributed to 11 wins this season. I do believe in the 2 losses that occured Lee saw a lot less playing time, so in essence the 2 QB thing was working to some degree.

Let the guys battle it out in the spring. I for one look forward to the spring game this year.

You mean JJ is just starting to catch on to Crowton's Offense after #3 years. Back to the drawing board??

It's not like LSU opens with a rent a win game.

I think JJ has the arm strength to be a pro style QB but he is just lacking the accuracy and decision making skills. JJ didnt start playing well until the end of the year which leads me to belive that he didnt have a full grasp on the offense all year. With both JJ and Mett starting from scratch in this offense I believe that Mett will pick it up much faster which should ultimately land him the starting position.

What experience? You are now faced with learning an entirely new system and not to mention you are probably up against a BETTER quarterback in Mett.

If Crowton were still here I would say you are correct, but that isn't the case.

We're poised, per Miles, to make a NC run this year. The offense will not be changing much until next year. You teach the young QBs the new offense and use some old and some new things with a Senior QB. You don't change the offense wholesale if you're talking about something like this. The same was done when Crowton came in after Jimbo Fisher. We used very little of his playbook coming in until the following year.
