JJ has been the starter of this team that won 11 games this year. He looked pretty good in the bowl game, the bama game and if not for some of his runs in the Auburn game, that game wouldn't have been that close. He should be the favorite to win the job unless Mett is totally amazing. He can play in a pro style offense. He has the size and the arm to do so, plus he can run when he has to, ala the 3rd and 19 he converted with his legs in the bowl game. What if Krag can work with him and get him to be a little more consistant? I don't believe Mett is some savior until he actually does it on our field. JJ deserves some credit for the 11 wins this year.

I have seen you and few others say oh Jefferson has the arm for a pro style off. When has Jefferson ever consistently showed he can hit crossing routes and deep out routes? Throwing the ball 60 yds and letting your receiver run under it isn't exactly terms to base a qb having the 'arm'.
Just saying....but regardless who the qb is I think there will be a major improvement from our qbs

I know you didn't ask me, but I'll go with a combination of 1 & 3. Though would you mind pointing out what part of Miles' past suggests to you that my answer is idiotic?

I don't necessarily agree with this. When you think about his successful plays (including scrambles for long runs, some long runs on zone reads and some deep completions), it seems to me that those things can be done within a pro style offense.
I don't think it's a slam dunk that either of these guys will start. The ability to read the defense and make the right checks will determine. I might concede that Mett has a leg up, to the extent that he is probably a more fundamentally sound QB. But if he doesn't grasp the offense, show the ability to make the reads and display leadership skills, I think the guy with experience will get the nod.

keyg33 i understand were your coming from. Maybe jj will suprise us. But hes never been a great pocket passer. And JJ has not been consistent.Doesnt look for 2nd and 3rd rec.
