I am wondering why a program like LSU would even consider coaches from programs that are unsuccessful or others who have been fired from other programs. Why not try for the very best coaches available. We are national champions but are really getting some bad publicity now.

Are you forgetting that Jimbo and maybe others left, as they felt the staff and HC were tooooo weak. Not everyone wants to take on the Tiger Fans and Miles, plus out of hand players (or should be players.)

dumbass
Jimbo left for the opportunity to be FSU head coach someday (and a huge raise now)
Pelini left to be the Nebraska head coach
They didn't leave because of our staff/HC

Some of the logic here is stupid. What are ya'll taling about. Pellini got a great HC gig from his LSU success. Secondly, Fisher needed fresh air and publicity if he could turn around a faltering FSU program -- and whispers about replacing Bowden - worked out. Muschamp went from LSU, Miami, Aub, TX and will be the successor to a top 5 program in 2 years. Saban's coaches came and went like nomads. Les will hire a good DC and staff and hopefully we will win big next year.

It's mindboggling how some of you talk out of your arse. Guess it makes you feel like a big man to say stupid shite on the internet.
Congrats.

Did he also tell you that Miles didn't want him but was forced to keep him on staff until JR left? No coincidence Jimbo and JR left the same year.
Nah, I'm sure that didn't come up in your imaginary conversation.

BS
And if he said that he said it out of spite.
Additionally, if he said it, he was proven to be wrong by the fact that the coaches he left behind won a NC once he was gone.
