I disagree. Lane is the dream fit for OM. His offensive scheme bridges the talent gap when playing more talented teams. He gets us in the recruiting game with his name. He kicked the GOB Network out and is running the show. He keeps OM in the national media by name alone.
There isn't anyone else out there who is as good of a fit for OM as Lane is for a lot of reasons.

We had more success with Freeze imo. Not discounting Lane at all though.

Kiffin leaving would be devastating for Ole Miss. schematically he’s a good coach and seems to be a good evaluation guy as well.
He’s a dangerous coach.
Now he won’t beat the Brian Kelly’s and Nick Saban’s very often but he’s a damn good coach nonetheless

Should we discount Freeze beating bama twice? Are we not going to acknowledge that the SEC West was better when Freeze coached? These are all important metrics that cannot be discounted.

Agreed. 3 constant opponents with 6 rotating. Each team’s 3 constant opponents will be 2 top tier teams and 1 bottom tier team.
