Thank you! Someone that is logically. The guy has championship in his DNA. Riley doesn’t have that.

I think it was Andy Staples podcast today that said, "What if i would have told you the day after Florida almost beat Bama that they would be paying 20 million to get rid of Mullen to go hire the ULL coach in 2 months".

It just bugs people that he coaches at another Louisiana school.

I don't think the ULL thing is really a factor for most people. I think people are nervous that Napier is a Sun Belt head coach with no experience running a P5 program. There was a great thread on this forum a couple of weeks ago that listed the successful G5 head coaches who made the jump to P5. It was amazing how many had failed. I think people are worried that Napier is the next Butch Jones.

Most aggravating factor is that because UF wants Napier now, some dumb wit LSU fan thinks Napier is worthy now bc UF wants him… he was worthy all along.

It really is the ULL thing for a lot of folks.

Nothing about this is a negative. Only in yall's simple minds is it a bad thing.

UF didn't look like it was going to open 3-4 weeks ago. Things changed.

This. When you consider the timing of everything, Napier to Florida absolutely makes sense.

Florida's AD didn't enter the season with the thought of potentially firing the head coach like LSU or USC did. They made staff changes just a couple of weeks ago to try and salvage the season.

Now they're jumping on the coaching carousel late, so if they like Napier, they needed to move fast before one of the OP's "subpar" programs lands him first. This has nothing to do with him coaching at ULL, or Florida thinking he's more worthy than LSU does.

Napier turned down Miss St. and Auburn...He wouldn't have picked up the phone for any of those other jobs, he waited for a job like LSU or UF.
