Take this rational thought out of here

He better concentrate on Florida...FSU is on the rise and Miami will soon be on the rise with Mario...then you will be dealing with UCF going to the Big 12 so they will be improving their recruiting as well...

We dodged a bullet by not hiring Sunbelt Billy. He’s McElwain 2.0.

You know how hard it is to get baws out of their double wides on the family plot of land to get up and go to Gainesville?

The Raymond hire makes a lot of sense for Napier. Corey obviously has Louisiana ties, but he's a south Florida recruiter. He knows those schools exceptionally well and will do a good job on the UF staff.

Napier better start paying attention more to those Florida high school relationships, though. Winning a few kids from Louisiana each year will not offset having an energized Miami vacuuming up all of the homestate talent.

Why would it be a bad thing to hire our best recruiter and only coach we really wanted to keep from the previous staff?

We’ll all have a different perspective when he’s interviewing to be our WR coach in 3 years.

Outside of Raymond, his staff is absolute garbage. Florida fans were nearly rioting over the last week with his hires.

Show of hands how many people on here actually attended LSU, much less graduated. Asking for a friend.

Seems to be a lot of little penis in this thread. Guy coached in LA so is going for what he is familiar with.

I don't have an irrational hate for Napier, seems like a lot of others do.

One thing about coaches I know is they always revert to what's worked for them before. They do it with play calls, recruiting pitches, and with assistants. Coaches are more creatures of habit than a crackhead gambler.

So Napier is going to want to focus on LA and thus want to build his staff to do just that.

Now, if it works he will double down on it immediately- just like coaches do. If it doesn't work (and it won't because fighting LSU in LA AND leaving your back door open to Miami is a death sentence) he will still double down on it- just like any coach- until it bites him.

If he survives getting bit he will find a new thing that works, and then continually double down on that- just like any coach. IF he survives that.

Our job, CBK's job, is to make sure fighting LSU is in a phone booth on our own grounds is as bloody as it can be for Napier until he gives up and breaks his addiction.
