If Miles goes...
It took me what seems like ages to finally start warming up to this guy. Now that I have, I am full-fledged lovin' this guy as a football coach. I can put behind cigar incidents and what not, as this guy CAN COACH. Make no mistake about it.
Saban's LSU teams outalented his 4 of the 5 years they met. People are saying they dislike Tubby for many reasons including 1 SEC c'ship in 9 years. Terry Bowden never won any.
I dunno...I have just done a 180 with Tubby. He is much classier on the sidelines and much more in tune with the game, it seems. He is loyal, as he was stabbed in the back by Auburn some 4 years ago. What did he do? He accepted a bullshite apology and won 13 games. The BCS kept him out of a c'ship, thanks to poor preseason rankings. I know they would have shown up better than OU did in the '05 Orange Bowl.
He can recruit. He can coach. He needs a good support staff, as that is something he's never had on either side of the ball - long term - until Borges arrived.
I'd be pleased as drunk punch if he took over this program. Naysayers will never change my mind.

I'm slowly warming up to Tubby too but it has been rumored that AU is working on an extension for him..

I agree totally. He is a hell of a coach i don't care what people say. Just take a look at his recruiting classes nothing flashy because he has to share with bama, ga, tenn, and florida but he consistently does a great job with the recruits he does get. Just look in the nfl there are a bunch of auburn players playing there. I don't care what he did in the past sure he is a little cocky and arrogant but i like that in a coach because it shows he is confident in his team and his gameplan.

Now that JDR looks to be out, I'm getting more and more on the Tubby bandwagon.
If we go with an up and comer I want Chris Petersen.
