Josh Henson and Cam Cameron will be co-offensive coordinators after Frank Wilson leaves LSU for Tulane. Peveto will be promoted to co-defensive coordinator alongside Steele. There's our coaching changes.

This is the wrong kind of doubling down. Damn. If this happens, all hope is lost for at least a season or two.

That look on Miles' face in your avatar is what scares most people.

Missouri was 2nd to last in PPG this year. They averaged 13pts a game. They were horrendous on offense. If Miles hired him, Miles would deliver his own final blow.

If the boosters want to spend money, go out and get Mark Richt. That would be a huge OC hire. That might even sway Eason to LSU.

And he progressively got worse the following two years culminating in the nations worst offense in 2015?

So has LSU.

So they were a whole lot worse than us?

The difference in Mizzou's 2015 and LSU's 2015 offense was LF7 and LSU rushing game.

You don't want an OC that doesn't need one of the best running backs on earth to succeed?

No, but we have it so I won't hold one season where he lost his starting qb to suspension, offense line that hellacious injury problems, and had Gary Pinkel as his boss against him.

quote:

So in 2014, when they had all these starters and a healthy HC, they averaged 50 yards less and .2 points more per game than the worst offense LSU has had in my lifetime...against an easier schedule?

Mizzou also had less talent than any LSU team this millenium and still went to the SECCG. So like I said in my first post, we aren't going to do better and this guy turned around a shitty offense in one offseason. No OC with half a brain is going to leave TCU, Baylor, OU, etc to come be the OC at LSU with the current dumpster we find ourself in. It would be a good hire because one of 2 things will happen:
1. LSU's offense in 2016 resembles Mizzou's 2013 offense and we win a national title with that offense.
2. LSU's offense in 2016 resembles Mizzou's offense in 2015 and we go 5-7. It will take us crashing and burning for us to ever make a change. Alleva has shown that he is just like a frog in a pot of hot water. He will be okay with Miles as long as we are on a slow decline and even help raise the temp (i.e. Chavis and the Les Miles Clause), but if the water heats up too fast (i.e. 5-7 season he will jump out of the pot.

Now he is not in my top25 of wants, but I am willing to risk it because something has to change and we know Les and Alleva won't voluntarily change it.

He is terrible. A good mid major OC would be better and we could certainly get that because of how much more we'd pay.

Stop and think about you're saying. You think a guy that has gotten worse and worse each year at Missouri, led them to the worst offense in college football this year, and is hated by their fanbase is a good candidate for OC at LSU?

You yourself said in 2014 they had seniors and returned a good offense from 2013, yet they were just as bad as LSU against easier competition. The made the SECCG because of defense and being in the East. Nothing to do with their shitty offense.

They were literally record breaking bad this year. Like all-time in the history of their program bad. No good OC is ever that bad.

Oh and he's a Les Miles crony so Les would walk all over him with the gameplan and playcalling.

Even Missouri fans think he's complete dog shite. Think you've watched them play more than their own fans the last 3 years?

A good OC is not 125th in offense and terrible the year prior with a senior laden squad. Period.

99% of LSU fans agree with you. Henson would be terrible. Anyone defending Josh Henson is not capable of being reasoned with.

Points against FBS teams with our starting QB
27- Arky St
9 - Uconn
13 - Kentucky

Injuries to Oline:
Boehm - played every game
Crawford - missed a game

Henson is the worst thing that could happen to your offense outside of the Hanta virus.

Like I said earlier, if Miles likes the guy and he's a good recruiter, can Peveto and make him the Special Teams coach. Recruiting is the only thing BDP is good at, so Henson could help out with his loss there. And, as bad an OC as he is, he can't screw up our special teams any worse than they've been this year.

Anything other than this, and Alleva needs to call for a mental exam and see about getting Miles' contract voided.

Not defending him, just playing devil's advocate.

ETA: I just went back and check my original post in this thread and I forgot to put that I was playing devil's advocate in the original post. I do not want Henson and I absolutely deserve all the ebashing that I am about to receive. So I apologize for any misinterpretation and let ebashing commence.

I for one loved Henson.......I bet under in every Missouri game this year and made bank. That 9-6 game against Vandy was an all-timer.
