"In his third season as defensive line coach, Early oversaw one of the most feared units in the nation. The 2021 unit earned the name “Sack Ave” for its ability to get after the opposing quarterback. The Cougars recorded 45 sacks, ranking fifth nationally".

Early is an elite DLine coach. This is a gigantic get for Mizzou and Arkansas continues to fumble over its arse on hires.

Early is an Arkansas guy through and through and adopted NFL star Dre Greenlaw in high school when he was his coach after he family problems. I expect Early to recruit Arkansas and Mississippi and LA hard.

Good guy. Great coach. Mizzou going all in.

Yeah, no one has ever really outrecruited LSU for guys they want in state. Texas and A&m did a decent job when LSU was down in 20-21, but that's been it. Alabama got a couple guys in the later Les years, but since Orgeron took over they haven't made much of a recruiting impact in the state.

What you can do, though, is go after the guys ranked 20-50 in the state who LSU doesn't have room for. Some absolute studs ranked in that are. Normally in LA, those guys who turn out to be NFL players in that range are skill guys, but every now and then a lineman slips through the cracks.

Are you telling me that Bo Davis and Kevin Peoples aren't good enough for LSU?

Love that approach and I hope y’all legitimately find some of those diamond guys. There’s only so many spots at the in state school.

I didn’t look at it from your perspective

Why would he need to focus recruiting only in Louisiana and not in Missouri? Plus, LSU can only get a certain amount of HS recruits in Louisiana. I bet he would drop Louisiana and focus on Texas and Missouri as top two States before trying to get any from Louisiana.

Don’t be fricking stupid. You know good and damn well there’s no coach “dropping” Louisiana for football talent. That’s just you being ignorant.

No clue if this is what Lefty means, but I think we can agree that the top 10 DL players in the state of Louisiana are either going to LSU, or possibly Bama. Once you get past the top DL's those are the players other schools have a chance at. While still some great players there, Lefty is saying just focus on the top DL in Missouri, who a lot of times are higher ranked than the "left overs"(not the top 10) in Louisiana.

This is what you left about one of LSU fans posted. You mean LSU would want him too and have three DL coaches on a team that only one will be coaching the DL. Why are LSU fans being obsessed with Mizzou? There were other posts from LSU fans saying we will take him away when one DL coach leaves. When LSU needs a new HC, the AD will hire Drinkwitz away from Missouri. Please go away!
