Our 24/7 Guy says he has talked with the Florida 24/7 guys and they haven't heard anything this morning about it.
Practice is at 10 this morning so we should know something soon.
ETA: Could be pandering for more money. Mullen's about to sign an extension with a higher pool for assistants. Hell, he just got a huge raise last year though.

I mean, it's the dead period, and UF's current DC is the interim HC for the bowl game. Collins may coach you guys in the Orangle bowl.

I thought y'all had an agreement to keep some of the defensive staff from last year?

That was initially reported when McElwan was hired. I'm very glad that UF isn't retaining Durkin. He got lazy on the trail and I'm not sure how great he is X's and O's w/o Muschamp overseeing everything.

His pass D was terrible, and MSU has had some good DBs over the years. If MSU hires Diaz back, he would be an upgrade.

Yeah welll the DB talent that UF gets in comparison to MSU isn't close to comparable.

At first I was sad to see Collins go and then the more I thought about how bad our defense played at times the more I realized how replaceable he is. I really like Collins and he is a good recruiter, but our defenses we totally unprepared a few games.

I missed the interview on Finebaum yesterday, the only thing I do try & catch, but a Miss. talking head type apparently made a reference to Mullen throwing Collins under the bus for leaving? ?
