The story makes no sense. How on earth would Miles "pressure" GC into withdrawing from consideration? GC is currently not under contract beyond this year. If Miles didn't want him to take the job because he (Miles) wanted him back as OC, he could just offer to renew the contract. If Miles didn't want Crowton back but didn't want him interviewing with ULL, I don't see how Miles would have any leverage with which to "pressure" him.

I honestly don't see how that could be true. What leverage does Miles have on Crowton? According to the paper, his contract is up this year, so it's not like they will fire him for interviewing. If they did, he still gets paid his contract, but maybe loses his bowl bonus.
Seems pretty damn pathetic if true, but I seriously doubt Les told him not to interview or else.
