Miles isn't Saban. He doesn't do that.

Miles would not leave with his cupboards full, families relying on him, players relying on him, his legacy unfulfilled.

You never know what may lure a guy to the next challenge but it would be a quick buck, nothing else for Miles. Huge risk with high reward, initially. The NFL most always ends in failure.

His name has not even been mentioned on local radio here.

I will report back here if local radio starts even mentioning him as a serious candidate.

BTW, the GM was on this morning, but did not talk any specifics. He said the Fins "would love to find a young Don Shula".

Heat already on. Have you seen how the last two Boy's games ended? Jones already put the word out, "Garrett is indecisive"

Wish Miles would pull a Spurrier and call Guilbeau out at the next press conference, pulls his credentials and gives them to Mathieu, Ware, Simon and Lee and tell glen if he wants them back he has to to take them from those 4

You could only hope, sir.

Our foot will be in Aub's throat for years to come. Les Miles or not.

I guarantee you our next coach won't be from Ark St. or Iowa State.

Don't see it at all. I think Miles would be a much better NFL coach than Saban, but he strikes as the college type.

I'd be shocked if he left LSU for the Dolphins.

I always expected Saban to leave.

My sources close to the situation are telling me this is imminent.

I think that, unlike Saban, CLM realizes there is no greater pinnacle in coaching than reaching "legend" status at a top BCS program.

In the NFL these days, it is truly the "Not For Long" league.

I also think that Les can candidly assess his strengths and weaknesses, and his biggest strength is recruiting. Recruiting NFL FA is all about the money.

There's a lot better chance of CLM ending up like Saban in the NFL than ending up like Tom Landry.

I don't think there's a snowball's chance in hell that Les leaves LSU for the NFL.

If he was going to leave for anywhere, he would have left for Michigan.

He's at LSU for the long haul.

If anyone read the article that GG is using as the source it's like a who's who of coaching candidates. Pure speculation as is the case with most coaching rumors. Les isn't going anywhere. He's getting older and has a powerhouse at LSU that if the breaks fall right can rival any run in history(not saying I think it's going to happen but it could with the talent on the roster for the next couple of years). He just got an extension and is looking at a raise after Jan 9 for the NC clause. He's got a job for life as long as he wins 9 games a year consistently with a NC run every 5 years.

I wouldn't blame Miles if he went to Miami just like I didn't blame Saban.

- NFL job

- more money and no state income tax in Florida

- you get to live in beautiful south Florida compared to this trash can called Baton Rouge

I really think this rumor was started to frick with the heads and focus of the players. Miles ain't going anywhere, wasn't even planning on it.

I don't see the distracted air around him and his eyes that Lil Nicky had before his last bowl game with LSU. Because that focused intensity was missing from Saban before the game, I called that the Tigers were going to lose.
