Am I the only person who thinks that Michigan is NOT going to offer Les Miles their HC job?

You are not alone. I asked the question over a week ago - What would be more upsetting: Miles to Michigan or Miles not getting a call to interview?

I don't have any information to back it up, but I'm with you. I don't think Miles gets an offer. And even though I support Miles, I kinda secretly want him to get the offer.

Not really a secret anymore, eh?

I kinda openly want him gone. I'll support him as long as he's our coach, but I don't want him to be our coach anymore.

true dat. I think he's a good coach and has done a great job at LSU. Im not saying that he is a bad guy or anything. Just if we ever want a MNC we need Miles gone.

I share your senitments, my friend! I won't cry if he leaves, nor will I cry if he stays. Pelini, on the other hand: I have NOT been impressed with his defense this year. The lack of pressure on the 4/10 in OT was a fatal illustration of his defensive scheme all year long.

I cannot imagine them wanting him. Les will not be able to turn around their losing streak to OSU.

You people are out of your ever-loving minds... Does anyone here remember the days of Archer, Hallman and DiNardo? Good coaches do not just grow on trees! Miles is an outstanding coach, who has lost a total of 6 games in one season, or two less than Dinardo did in his last year on our sidelines!!! Schnikies, realize a good thing when you have it and ride it out!

been riding 3 years now.

previous coach takes from the dumps to 2 SEC titles and a MNC. what has Les done? nothing.

Anyone could have come in did this job. And you only get so many chances.

Ever heard of Smoke Laval?

I with you except for the part of supporting him as long as he's our coach. Was asked this morning about getting a table for the recruiting bash, and I responded, "Only if we have a different coach".

How about Les's support? When did he say he wasn't interested in the Mich job and will remain at LSU?

He hasn't...
Nor should he, because most likely, HE's INTERESTED!
Would you prefer he lie like Saban did?

He said:
“Now I have to tell you, I’m not talking jobs, don’t look for jobs, don’t want jobs,” Miles said. “I’ve got a great job, I love this place. It’s a place I‘m comfortable, my family’s very comfortable. It’s not to suppose Michigan will call, they have not called. It’s unfair to Michigan to say that they should, it’s not fair to me and my team. So I promise you this, what I’m doing is what you should do. Let it rest, I’m playing football for LSU, I’m preparing for Arkansas, I’m preparing for the next game and the next game after that. I love this team. I will not do anything to hurt it.”

Which I think was as honest as he could be.

Understand for us College football is a hobby, for Miles and every other Head Coach, it's a job!

Currently, I like my current job, I'm happy, and I'm not looking for another job. That doesn't mean that if someone comes looking for me I shouldn't be willing to listen to what they have to say. Coaching Major College Football is no different...just a lot more public!

Even if Miles has every intention of staying at LSU, he has future contract negotiations to consider...
As much as we don't like it, his shutting the door on the Michigan possibility wouldn't be in his best interest!
