Mike Bellotti endorses Petersen for the Stanford job

Bellotti had also been rumored as a candidate, although he says they haven't contacted him but he would listen if they did.

Former Oregon coach Mike Bellotti, now a broadcaster for ESPN, said Stanford should hire Boise State coach Chris Petersen as coach.
"If I worked at Stanford, I’d go after Chris Petersen,'' Bellotti said Sunday.
Petersen coached with Bellotti at Oregon from 1995-2000, and Bellotti said that although Petersen is comfortable at Boise, losing his defensive coordinator and offensive coordinator in successive years changes things.

Peterson is an idiot if he takes the Stanford job. He could have had any major job around the country that he wanted the last two years. Why choose Stanford? You can not win consistently there. The guy before you had a #1 pick carry his team to 11 wins, so if you don't win 11 with the average players that are left over then you are a failure. Even if Luck stays for 1 more year, what do you do when he leaves?

I hate Belloti. He is one of the ones that is the most anti-LSU. Screw Belloti. He offers nothing really to the "experts". I think he is a political tool like Herbstreit.
