Maybe so, but I think he is the current "in" coach. Which means nothing to me today.

Let me see the Pitt game, and I will make my decision.

ETA: The only game I watched was the UCONN game, and I was not impressed.

maybe you should go back and watch some other games then. just because YOU haven't seen them, doesn't mean we can have the opinion he's a great coach

THEY'RE DOING IT WITH A BACKUP QB

LSU's fans pull the "RP" excuse at will to excuse miles, but they don't respect a coach who can win with a backup QB?

and LSU is number 8 in scoring D, but of course youd rather post things in a way that makes it seem LSU is still mediocre.

No, i chose to post TOTAL defense and i was posting it to show that Cincys defense isnt that bad, but no, i dont think our defense is that great, we give up to many extended drives, limiting our chances to frick up on offense

Miles has had one losing season too, and that was his first year at OKState, and two years later they were 9-4. except Miles did it in the big 12, at a program that was 45-70 with one winning season in the 12 years before he got there.

which was on about Big East level at that time if im not mistaken..it was Texas, OU and everyone else and how many times did he win less than 4 games while there? and did they EVER get close to even sniffing a BSC gaee like they are this season under Gundy?

Brian Kelly has won at every level he's been at. If you don't think he's a good coach, then you know nothing about football. /thread

I honestly do think the argument is against him being a "good coach"....I think the issue is him being painted as an "elite" coach. Win at an elite program with elite competition then we can talk....

Brian Kelly is a very good coach, but let's not label him elite just yet. He'll have a shot in the near future (when he gets his new job) to show us just how good he is. Remember, this is what many thought about Rich Rodriquez a few years ago, and things haven't gone swimmingly for him at a big program.

I don't think that Cincy has played a very tough schedule, but it's decent. He doesn't have elite talent either, but he does a great job with what he has. His team will get to show how good they really are in their bowl game. Then we can argue about all this again.
