Maybe our offer will be a base of $4 mill plus a big bonus for winning the West, the SEC and/or the BCS NC.

I sure as hell hope they do not get carried away with this and get in a bidding war mith UM. He is definitely not worth more than he is getting paid now. Which is pretty ridiculous. All it will do is make tickets prices go up along with everything else cost related to athletics to have to help and pay for the salary. If he really wants to go suck it up and let him and spend the money on someone else.

I think it's interesting that Brandon and Miles could use eachother for the preferred outcome of both parties. Miles leverages his contract at the most opportune time since '07 and Michigan gets to scratch another "Michigan Man" off the list. During this whole process Hoke might be their man but needed to show the base they tried to get the higher profile coaches first. This senario gives both sides cover and it's plausable because Brandon and Miles are friends.

Yep. Everyone enjoys having leverage in their career.
Its delusional to think he wouldn't do it and its absurd to get upset with him if he does. We'd all do the same in his position.

new late night update says that the interview is indeed scheduled, but obviously has not happened yet.
