Good point. He might steal a few Florida WR's in his first year or two but if he slacks on them in year 3 or 4 there are plenty of LA, East Texas, MS, and lower AL kids who would shite on themselves to play for SS at LSU.
and still no email. I'm about to bust out the Jay Lucas comments.

I still say Nick Saban will go back to LSU if Miles goes to Michigan.

The only problem I have with Spurrier is that he won't be here probably more than five years. I want someone who will be hear for the long haul. If he is hired though I will probably have the biggest shite grin ever, so the long haul deal will probably end up being negated.

I don't think he'll be here for more than 5-7 either. I really don't care if he wins a NC or two though.

I really don't see it happening.

if spurrier wins a NC and an SEC title or 2 then moves on I wouldn't have any problem with it.
It'd be nice to have a guy who is in it for the long haul, but I'm not basing my coaching search on that.

is Spurrier past his prime? I don't think so. USC may have just been a tougher place to win than he once thought
The bigger concern is if his players quit caring and quit being motivated. SPurrier said himself that was happening some in the midst of this final 5 game losing streak. You can recruit motivated 2 and 3 star players that want to give it their all on the field. IF that happened perhaps people should be asking why. SOuth Carolina fans are asking why? Perhaps we should too.
There were two basement programs in the East , excluding the special case of Vandy. THat is Kentucky and South Carolina with Kentucky maybe being in the bottom. It appears to me that Kentucky might be in better shape
Spurrier if memory serves right started his tenure with a trip to the Independence Bowl. He will end it there if he can convince the good powers that be in Shreveport that his schools can bring more fans than Bama.
He will have success here if LES leaves that is for sure. But still his tenure at SOuth Carolina needs to be evaluated both good and bad

I think Muschamp would be a great hire as a HC and he is a guy that could stay for 20 years.

maybe yall will hire him after Nick Saban returns to Louisiana State.

Spurrier wasn't blessed with a woodson at USC. its back to the crapper next year for UK. Although I do like their OC. He completely owned Bo's D that horrible saturday with his audibles.

Is that really important or even realistic in this day and age? Coaches get stale and fans are far more impatient than ever.

That may have had something to do with the fact that we did not blitz the whole freakin game

If Nick Saban leaves I would like to see us hire Coach Croom. I think he would do a great job at Alabama and he would be loyal. I think he is a class act. He is a very humble man that has a lot of character as a person. He is not an egomaniac prick like a lot of these coaches are today that are all about themselves. I would let my son play for him before just about any other coach I can think of.

Croom may get an extension and stick with MSU. He's got something going and Bama already rejected him once. Even being a Bama guy, he may not want the job now. He'll always be compared to someone else, while he could become a legend at MSU if he simply wins the West one day.

I really think lack of subs is a big reason for our D's lack of performance. The past 2 years they've started out hot then wore down, then got some rest and came back incredibly strong for the Bowl game. If you want to rely on your front 4 to get all the pressure fine but you better keep those legs fresh

Oh we blitzed that game. UK's OC just countered it by rolling the pocket and Woodson changing his protection. On that game winning play we sent 6 guys and they picked it up.

Does he have heart burn over being passed over for Shula?

Agreed, Croom is solid.
