I'm sorry but the timing of this is BULL$HIT! Michigan was supposed to "honor" Bertman's request that they wait to speak to classLES until AFTER the SEC Championship game but yet ESPN & the entire world is reporting that Miles was/will be offered the Michigan job.

Yes, everyone KNEW this was coming but don't you think all parties involved should have had a little dignity? Miles has a$$clowned enough with this team this year & now he is pulling the ultimate "WTF?". Personally, I tried to support him even when everyone else was calling for his head but this is the last straw, he has disrespected the team, the fans, & the integrity of what is at stake tonight. Blast me if you want but allowing this story to go public TODAY hours before the SEC Championship game, proves that he NEVER was or NEVER wanted to be an LSU guy & I'm glad to see the weasel geaux! ps classLES, thanks for the $1.2 million dollar tip-it's the LEAST you could do after boneheading LSU's chance to win it all.

I'm pissed off as well. I was one of the fans of Miles even after we lost last week and I wanted him to stay. Now, I want him gone. He's actually done a worse job at handling this carousel than Saban did in 2004 because we have an SEC championship game to play and we were #1 last week. This said he doesn't give a rats arse about LSU and he can go to hell.

You guys are in for a shock when LSU announces that Miles will be the highest paid coach in CF and will be staying at LSU for a looong time.

So LSU was just a stepping stone for him??? Do you think he lost the game on purpose last week so he could get the UM job sooner!!! I mean if LSU would have won the NC he would have gotten 3.5 mil!!! He would have stayed for that wouldn't he????

PJ, I don't think he would have. He seems stuck in a dreamland of Michigan (which to me sounds more like a nightmare). Anyway, he didn't "owe it to his alma mater" to talk to them or anything, or he could have just stated last week he was going to look at taking the Michigan job.
With Saban, we knew what we had, but I feel duped by Miles. Miles didn't man up during the last two weeks when we were #1 and this week while we still have an SEC Championship to play for. That is not a coach with character.

I don't really have a problem with it....if a coaching change is inevetible, the sooner it happens the better....screws up the current season, but is much better for the future of the program if it happens before the bowls are done....

You guys need to relax. Les Miles is going to get the opportunity to go home to coach his alma mater--it is his dream job. I believe him when he says he loves LSU, its players and fans, but how can you begrudge him the opportunity of a lifetime? I'd be interested in knowing how many of you would say "no" to LSU if they came calling YOU home.

Les has advanced the state of LSU football--we won't have a hard time replacing him. I, for one, will say "thank you" for a job well done, wish him luck, and focus on who will lead us in the future.

Exactly. Anyone in his position would do the same. There are always going to be those that think it's never a good time.

Not surprised at the classlessness of Miles and Michigan. Bo Schembechler invented modern day negative recruiting. His descendants, Mo, Lloyd and now Les learned it well, but Bo isn't the only one negatively recruiting out there.

For all his love of Woody, Bo never missed a shot to negatively recruit against him.
