Miles' reputation will be reduced to shite if he takes this job. But as I've said before it is his dream job and he may not care what anyone else thinks. This UM distraction did not cost us an SEC title or MNC shot, so I can't really be pissed at him if he does leave. Still, I will be shocked if he leaves...Les strikes me as a person who stands by what he says.

not really. Don't want to run him off either. Some coaches I'd fight to keep. He's just not one of them.

WOW!

So, which coaches make the list of coaches you would fight to keep?

And should Miles leave...who's on the top of your wish list as a suitable replacement?

I don't think going to Michigan will Hurt Miles reputation in the least. He's never had an offer to go until now. Last week when Herbstreet reported he had an offer he was 100% wrong!!!! Herbstreet should be fired!!!

You my friend, are sadly mistaken...
Miles has made some definitive statements about staying at LSU and not going to UM that can't be explained away...

He may do it, but his reputation of being a man of integrity would take one hell of a hit!

Have you lost your damn mind?? Of course, his credibility will take a hit. Now, look, i like Miles and I want him to stay at LSU, but if he pulled this bullshite, this would be WORSE than what Saban did. 100% worse. And the media already doesn't respect him. Hell, Wilbon from PTI hates his guts. Man, the whole country would hate him except for the state of Michigan.

he would take a small hit for a few weeks, but recruits won't really care because they know he's now at his dream job and is going no where

IF miles does go to MEEEEEchigan his rep will take a hit for a bit, until people see he really does bleed maize and blue and is coming HOME....everytime he talks about UofM you can hear it in his voice he longs to come home and was pressured by the espn report last week and the lsu brass who were on his a$$ to sign his new contract...which they were STUPID to not up the ante for his buyout option.....

I don't care how long he would be there. The guy would be a media parriah. Worse than Saban. The only reason why Saban's thing is blown over for the most part is b/c people and coaches respect him and they under some spell that he is a "GREAT, near perfect" coach.

I respect LES, but he is very disrespected by his peers and the media portrays him as a sort of buffoon. Also, he called a damn press conference to announce and rebutt a press release to stay at LSU a couple hours before the SEC CHAMP GAME. He would look like a huge IDIOT. And they would rake him over the coals. Mich would look bad in all of this also. Yeah, Mich better keep him there b/c he wouldn't get another NOTABLE head coaching gig.

I am a huge LES Miles supporter, but if you are going to leave, then leave. Don't call a press conference and say I'm not going anywhere, sign a extension, and then leave.

That'd be a pay decrease (if he wins NC) from a school more nationally recognized than LSU.

I wouldn't think that nay school is more nationally recognized than LSU any more. LSU has made the turn into a bigtime college fottball program. Y'all have had a pretty dominant 7 year run.

well, if you really think about it, this would be the first official 'run' at les, with full blown offer and whatnot.
