Would y’all please please stop with the Mel Tucker non sense. He is not going to be Scott’s pick. He isn’t a big enough name nor is he ready for a job like LSU. He needs to stay in Michigan State and hope he can keep the program a float.

It's not nonsense. There are some people in power who are high on him for some reason.

It is non sense. One good year doesn’t make you ready for a program like LSU.

Here's what I do. If I see a discussion thread about a candidate I don't like, even a poorly titled one like this, I just ignore it.

I hope I'm wrong, but I think it will be Tucker. He's going to check enough boxes that LSU will hire him.

And even though he wouldn't be my choice, I think he would do well at LSU and provide consistency and stability to the program.

The biggest question would be if he's able to bring the program back to elite status and that likely comes down to one variable. Who gets the OC job. I expect Tucker will field a good defense and he will recruit well. If he can be paired with a really good OC that can recruit and develop QBs then I think fans will be happy with his tenure at LSU.
