If we do hire Lunney and anyone tries to act like it was a good hire, then laughter is warranted and encouraged. Nothing against Barry. Sucks for him to be getting shite on for something that was thrown in his lap. He didn't ask for this.

You Hog fans are about 10 miles passed learning the hard way. This isn’t even optimism it’s flat out disturbing. There are no home runs out there for y’all. Won't be Leach. Personally, I'd love to see it. Not gonna say it's impossible, but I just don't see it. Too many people opposed to it for HY to hang himself out there like that. Unless our options are way worse than some believe. It would be fun as hell. Isn't that what it's all about? The Pirate is an opinionated, loose cannon, a-hole that doesn't give two shits what anyone else thinks. I can relate to that.

If (and this is a big if) HY did have Kiffin and let him get away then his job depends on an excellent hire for the posterity of the program. Leach comes with baggage but I believe he is one of a select few that can get them bowl eligible next year. Problem is, the tight arse pseudo-Midwesterners running the show up there will never let it happen.
