I don't think he leaves for at least another year.

This is why I'd rather wait a year to lose him.

People who think McCarthy should be canned are just fricking stupid, if you ask me.

That may be, but don't go parading him around like he is some great coach.

may be nothing to it, but i could see it happening. Its his alma mater, he knew sarkisian from when he coached at UCLA, he has cali recruiting ties, can bring florida recruits to UDUB and someone posted on here he tried to bolt last year and he may be one of the "5 fired" coaches who might have been on the hot seat.

Based on what.

He's an outstanding recruiter.

Lafell - improved in the two years he's been here. Plus, Lafell was a big play type receiver only until DJM got here. He became probably the best route runner on the team after his arrival.
Byrd - great last year, attitude problems this year.
Toliver - apparently doesn't practice well.
C. Mitchell - probably about as effective as he's gonna be in the SEC.

I'm not sure what else you want him to do...

Lane on the other hand has had what 4 years of really below average d-line play.

Nah. 06 the line played really well, last year good not great. This year... How much of that is Lane (as opposed to the overall scheme / the players on hand) is debatable.

yea man just ignore the drops, lazy blocking, and poor route running. Other than that people who think he isn't very good are just fricking morons

and wow he got a talent like Toliver to play ok? Man thats awesome

Whose job is it to see that a player has the right attitude and is prepared? Position Coach? McCarthy may not know how to handle the tough guys that LSU recruits. He does not appear to be from the HOOD.

oooooo, so now you have to be from the "hood" to handle LSU recruits??? so all LSU receivers that are underperforming are "from the hood"???

Just to clarify, you are saying that a coach MUST be from the "hood" to be able to handle these recruits????
coach LM is not qualified under your conditions then...
