The #Bears are parting ways with coach Matt Nagy, sources say, with Chicago making the final and expected decision this morning.

Day, Harbaugh, someone else?

Least surprising news...if they don't go with Day or Harbaugh. Maybe Kellen Moore?

I would not take that job unless they have a definitive plan to get a decent QB.

You have to really want to be a HC to take that job. Nothing about that roster on offense is appealing.

How real is the Day stuff?

If they bring in an inexperienced offensive minded guy, would be nice to get Fangio back to run that D again.

This would be a good spot for Harbaugh if he makes the jump back into the NFL. Justin Fields has a massive upside and Jim already has experience turning a franchise into a Super Bowl contender. But, Ryan Day would be a very perplexing hire outside of reuniting him with Fields. He did a good job at Ohio St., but they were going to be good no matter who took the helm. This NFL team isn't a job for an inexperienced coach to get his feet wet. All the pieces are not in place like they were when he took over at OSU for Meyer.

Agreed. The Bengals were in the same boat in the years before Burreaux (and then Chase). They chose - wisely - and now have a playoff team after two years.

Da Bares could do the same. They aren't any worse than the Bungles were before their rebuild - maybe a bit better. They won't have the same high draft picks, but there's more to work with on their roster.

Pick the right coach, go all in on a franchise QB actually worth something, and they're probably back in the mix in a few years.

[EDIT] Forgot to add that I don't think Fields is a bad QB by any means, but at best he's a poor-man's Kyler Murray. He isn't a franchise QB by any means. Whoever they hire needs to go all-in at that position.

Oh, and I also agree that this would be a better landing spot for the other Harbaugh brother than the friggen Raiders.

I want so badly for Harbaugh to take a job asap. Then Michigan hires Fickell only for Day to go to Chicago. Would be hilarious
