He has his hands in everything for a long time and we have no progress. This needs a complete overhaul.

actually that would be owner Mike Brown.
He controls personnel and he is just awful.

don't worry Lewis is quitting because he is sick of Brown not knowing wtf he is doing.

Yeah, Cincy needs to hire a GM. Seriously, Mike Brown is 73 years old. My grandpa is 73 and we don't let him have the remote control.
I don't think Marvin Lewis is a bad coach. The Bengals were really really really bad before he got there. I just think he's reached a plateau of what he can do in Cincy.

Looks like he's staying.
idk about that.
Reports are Lewis will quit and take the Pitt. job if he can't get a HC job. He is sick of not having a real GM to help him.

The Bengals announced Tuesday afternoon that Marvin Lewis has agreed to an extension as the team's head coach.

According to the Cincinnati Enquirer's Joe Reedy, the heart of Lewis' disagreement with owner Mike Brown was the change in philosophy and personality last offseason. Lewis apparently wanted to remain a defense/ball control outfit while Brown chased down Terrell Owens and Antonio Bryant to instigate a shift toward a more pass-heavy approach. Lewis wants the front office to find players to suit his philosophy instead of his bending to suit theirs. Lewis' new deal makes him the longest-tenured head coach in franchise history as he heads into his ninth season in Cincinnati.
