All day long he’s been saying “will Ole Miss give him money to pay the roster.”

I don’t understand this sentiment from OM. Let your best coach possibly win you a natty, something you’re desperate for, and it raises your program and ability to attract better coaches/players. It’s a net positive to keep him during the playoffs, even if you know he’s leaving. Promise you Tulane would let Sumrall coach the playoffs.
