thank you, chicken. people need to know what they're talking about before jumping to conclusions.

His offense did score 34 against 2007 LSU
but
he had no chance after this game against FSU in which we lost 21-14

the only thing i know about Texas is they have LSU talent & went 5-7. That's coaching. Hell, we went 10-2 and we're trying to fire half our staff

He was the running backs coach. The problem with UT was their QB and play calling...

we had a worse QB and a worse play caller yet our record was much better

LSU had a monster defense and unsustainable talent on the Offense.

For starters, Texas rushing yards have declined each of the 3 years since he has been RB coach.
If he is a rising star, why doesn't Texas make him their OC? Why are they looking for someone else?
Ask the bammers if they want him back?
Sorry, but he has done nothing to make me think he is a good coach or give me a reason for him to be OC at LSU.
JMO though...I'm open to being wrong.

I know he interviewed with us a few years back and is not muschamps pick at OC.
Nor should he be LSU'S

If he was such a good OC, then why didn't he get another OC job after he left Bama? Seems taking the RB coach position at your alma-mater is a big step down.
Here's his resume:
2005 - QB coach at Syracuse....went 1-10 and scored the fewest points in 20 years
2006 - Rice OC - Ranked #58 in total offense
2007 - Bama OC - Ranked #75 in total offense, which is an improvement over 2006 in ypg, but not by ranking (#65). Still not very good.
2008-2010 - Texas RB coach & AHC
During his tenure at Texas, he's what he has accomplished as RB coach:
2007: #17 Rush Offense (before he got there)
2008: #41
2009: #61
2010: #66
To me, looks like a mirror-image of Crowton...
IMO, LSU needs a proven OC. Not another guy to throw on the wall and see what sticks.

I do not want a coach at LSU who has never shaved....
