Really like the guy

This would be a huge get. He has deep ties in Texas, is an excellent recruiter and an outstanding hands-on coach. Home run if it happens.

Your recruiting will improve, but he's a so-so coach. Did well when he had that senior-laden offensive line in 2010, but otherwise our offensive lines were average or terrible.

Still a monumental upgrade over previous coach.

Who told you that lie? Grimes plays his favorites regardless if actual playing ability. He chose The matador AJ Gen to start at Rt in 2010, it would have cost us several games had he not gotten hurt.

They gave up 33 sacks last year and only rushed for 120 yards per game.

Compared to LSU...

We gave up 25 sacks and rushed for 202 yards per game.

I would have preferred Washington, but this isn't a bad hire at all

Do y'all give him credit for Greg Robinson?

To be fair, we have a better Oline, so better numbers than VT should be expected
