for no good reason.

fired Miles & assumed coaches would line up for the job.
assumed O would beat Florida.
refused to pay Fisher elite coach money
refused to pay Herman elite coach money.
assumes yearly that we can line up head to head with Bama and pound them.

the media has decided that we are a mediocre program and so it is. the problem is that they aren't wrong.

Saban gave us a glimpse of what we could be, that's why he suggested Nutt to be head coach when he left, so he would have a great fall back plan. Unfortunately that idiot Miles got lucky for a few years before his true self came out. Back to the 90s and the good ole boy network for us.

LSU just hired Ed fricking Orgeron as their head coach.

They are a mediocre program, who will remain a mediocre program and have nobody to blame but themselves.

My understanding is that they were willing to pay top dollar for Jimbo, but not overpay for Herman.

Sexton gonna sexton.

if they were willing to pay top dollar for Jimbo,he'd be the HC at LSU.

is $65 million outrageous? yes, but if you're gonna pay him $6.5 million a year you're working under the assumption that he's going to be massively successful anyway. you rode with Miles for 12 years. you can't ride with Jimbo for 10?

I hear you. Fans need to understand that a contract like that could backfire big time, too. We kept Miles 3 years longer than we wanted to because of buyout cash. Jimbo is in a good spot now. If Sexton was asking for a deal that would cripple the program (he likely was) and made a take it or leave it ultimatum, I could see a scenario where alleva would say no thanks.

That said, orgeron would not have been my number 3. This is a joke
