Miles Leaves:

Porter (and his recruiting skills) heads to Michigan because he followed him here from Oklahoma State.

Pelini exits to Nebraska

Crowton go or stay? Jimbo stayed, and he wasnt that good. Crowton, with RP and no Hester, might really be able to harness the maximum amount of offensive production through the spread.

Who else?

Line coaches? I like what Earl Lane has done, so I would like to see him stay.

If (and Im so removed from the process), Les leaves and Spurrier comes (HYPTOTHETICAL), I hope he brings Tyrone Nix with him as our new DC. With our talent, he would be spitting out top three defenses and first day draft picks.

"Crowton, with RP and no Hester"

WTF is that supposed to mean?? Some of you jackasses really need to realize that Hester has had a great year and becasue of him we won alot of ball games.

You mean like Pelini has done the past 3 years with our Ds, Dorsey and Landry?

Calm down ranter. No one has bashed Hester, but he doesn't have the quickness to run the outside runs commonly associated with the Spread option

Why because he is white?? Quick enough to chase down a Bama CB coming off the ground and 5 yards back but too slow to run a sweep??

His strength was running up the gut and was what we used him for. Doesnt mean he cant run a sweep.

It means RP/Williams run a better spread than Flynn/Hester

And Hester/Flynn run a better Pro-Style offense, perhaps.

Its not a knock on Hester. Chill out catwoman

I would like to cite as evidence every damn MF/JH option we ran this year. Most were for a loss.

Yes, we used him to his strength this year and he has had a great year, but the guy just isn't a spread back.

And whats the basis for RP being a better spread QB than Flynn? Do you think RP is faster too?? Thats not true according to the coaches.

No, because he isnt as fast as any of the other RBs.

Compare the RP/TH option we ran early in the year to the JH/MF option for the Arky game.

40 speed isn't everything RP simply moves quicker on the football field.
