DALSU said there would be an Alleva teleconference today announcing Herman

Agreed, I believe if LSU hadn't got one of the guys they wanted then there is no reason to announce they are retaining Coach O at that time. That announcement could be made at any time. Herman and LSU worked out what they needed to work out for both sides to be happy and made the deal is what I believe. But, we shall see....

If O is indeed the new permanent head coach wake me up in two years when this board is back in full swing.
I will literally be sick if it's O. And I like O, he's just not the man for this job, even tho he from here. Look at our last "home boy" hire, he is doing great...

I guess we want to announce coach O before Texas announces Herman so we can say we got our guy that we wanted all along?

I can't imagine any reason they would announce it as CEO. If fish and Herman were both no-gos, I would hope that LSU would continue the search before announcing a "new" coach that we've had for several weeks now.

So you're saying Ross Dellinger got this wrong? Are you kidding me?

O was not even in my Top 5 of choices but I will give him a chance to prove himself. IMO Lsu looks very bad with this choice.
We fired a coach that played for 2 national championships to hire a coach that never won a conference title.

If Texas takes Herman and we're left with Farmer Fran. Texas should surpass Alabama as Public Enemy Number One for LSU. They RUNNOFT Aggy and now we have to put up them. Now this....

it's got to be Herman...get him locked up to keep UT from sabotaging the deal

WOW I really thought you guys would get Jimbo or Herman. I can not believe they would fire Les to hire Orgeron!!!!!
