If Miles wasn't at LSU I'd love to have Tuberville here. I can't believe how dumb Auburn was to get rid of him.

Saban won't leave Alabama next year, he'll have to sit out a few more years.

tubberville and LSU would be a great combination. Multiple NC's etc.

Tubbs is a good coach -- and it's no doubt easier to recruit to LSU than Auburn, but my God when has Auburn had an offense???

I guess you forgot about one of the most talented offenses in the SEC of atleast this decade.
Did you watch any of 2004? Jason Campbell, Carnell Williams, Ronnie Brown, Marcus McNiel, Ben Grubs, and almost all of that recieving core has been to the NFL. This is the offense that didn't have room for Brandon Jacobs. I think they could have destroyed people if Tuberville wasn't so conservative. The only team that kept it close was LSU.

When you look back at that team, no single area was spectacular. The SEC, overall, was very solid, and Auburn still went through it like a hot knife through butter. That is one of the better teams, if not the best team, left out of the BCS-CG so far.

Little FYI on Tubberville.....
He is laying out for AT LEAST a year. He has ONE dream job and wants to sit back and see if it comes open. This comes from someone who knows him.
So you know him, and he said the LSU job was his dream job?
Interesting
Tubbys is a heck of a football Coach.. Wasn't that long ago, he was considered the best Coach in the SEC..
Only way I see the LSU job open up is if Les goes 7-5 again, or RR at UM gets canned and Miles takes his alma mater job.
I suppose these are possibilities, I would say less than 20% likely
But the innner coaching circle is an environment that information flows pretty well

If it's LSU, I wouldn't get my hopes up. Les has at least two more years at LSU regardless what the overall record is next year. About the only scenario I can think of where Les would go after next year is if LSU doesn't win an SEC game

In 2004 we were incredible and in 2005 we were ranked #1 in offense in the SEC.
ETA: I thought LSU fans hated Tuberville? Why the sudden love for him to come in and take over for Les Miles? What a difference a few months make.

"I thought LSU fans hated Tuberville?"
When it comes to coaching.... hate = good.......like Spurrier said a few years ago....if everyone likes you, then you aren't winning

It's in Baton Rouge. No big secret there.

FWIW, I remember reading an article several years ago that said something along the lines of Tubberville would have crawled to Baton Rouge for the job.
